Our antique yellow limestone paving has proven to be a very popular choice with customers and landscapers in recent years. It offers an attractive mix of warm beiges, cream, gold and subtle grey tones that suits many garden styles. The stone is hand cut into four sizes to create the project pack, before going through a tumbling process to finish. The Tumbled finish smooths and rounds the slabs providing a subtle, undulating surface to the tile with vintage character.
Limestone is a dense sedimentary rock that lends itself to paving due to its strength and durability. It also has a natural level surface with some texture, but far less riven and bumpy than sandstone can be. Therefore, it is ideal in gardens where a flat surface is desirable for furniture. Another benefit of its dense composition is that it has a lower porosity than some lighter coloured sandstones, making it easier to maintain. This durability and lower maintenance allow you the peace of mind that your paving will look great for years to come.
As you can see from the images above antique yellow limestone paving is at home amongst a range of different property types and garden styles. However, I find it pairs very nicely with traditional properties who are looking for a slightly worn in feel to match existing aged brickwork.
